- Property Development and Parking Projects: The Board considered future plans for the property at 125 2nd Street, including its potential use and a scheduled live auction for September 2024. Concurrently, the Hill Center Parking Expansion and Downtown Parking project have moved forward, promising significant cost savings through economies of scale.
- FY’25 Budget Approval: The FY’25 budget was approved by both the Sealy EDC Board and City Council, with funds allocated for various capital projects such as parking expansions, building improvements, pond enhancements, and public safety initiatives like Flock cameras.
- Retail Development: The ongoing partnership with The Retail Coach continues to progress, with upcoming meetings and reports scheduled to further develop Sealy’s retail landscape.
- Public Art and Community Projects: Plans for public art initiatives in collaboration with the Greater Sealy Area Chamber of Commerce are underway, enhancing Sealy’s cultural and aesthetic appeal. Improvements to the W.E. Hill Center and Jacqueline A. Cryan Park are also prioritized in the upcoming fiscal year.
