Strategic Initiatives and Community Development
In our pursuit of sustainable growth, the Sealy EDC has presented the FY’24-FY’26 Strategic Plan to the Sealy City Council, receiving unanimous approval. Key developments include:
- Infrastructure Improvements: The recent demolition at 125 2nd Street paves the way for new parking solutions and further downtown revitalization efforts.
- Hill Center Parking: Plans are underway to expand and enhance the W.E. Hill Center parking facilities, aiming to support our growing community needs.
- Cryan Park Pond: Addressing erosion and capacity issues, we are committed to maintaining this beloved community feature through strategic enhancements.
Boosting Local Economy and Business Engagement
Our partnership with the Retail Coach is gaining momentum. This collaboration focuses on identifying retail vacancies, engaging developers, and utilizing innovative platforms to attract new business opportunities to Sealy.
Marketing and Branding Enhancements
The SEDC is revamping its online presence and physical signage to ensure consistent and effective community engagement. Upcoming updates to our website and strategic signage placements are designed to increase visibility and foster a welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.
Community Events and Engagements
We also have several community events lined up, including:
- Annual Big Spring Sale on March 14-16 at the First Methodist Church Sealy.
- Sandie Acord Group Real Estate Grand Opening on March 15.
- Sealy Gun and Knife Show on March 16-17.
- Thirsty Thursday networking event on March 21.
- Easter Eggstravaganza on March 24.
